An angel (from the Latin angelus), borrowed from the Greek ἄγγελος, angelos, "messenger" in Hebrew מלאך layer, malakh, "messenger") is a heavenly creature in many traditions, including the three Abrahamic religions and in the 'Avesta.
This term refers to a messenger from God, that is to say an intermediary between God and men.
Sometimes it sends a divine message, sometimes it acts itself as divine will.
